Introduction

Welcome to the Beskidzka Strona Kolejowa (Beskid Railway Website), a website dedicated mainly to signalling equipment, interlocking, railway traffic and signal systems in Poland. Basics of railway network elements and telecommunication systems are also described. As a supplement, a multilingual signalling dictionary is available, which is attempt to collect translations of signalling terms in several languages.

The site contains also general informations about ISDR - Simulator of railway traffic project, which gives a practical experience of topics featured on the website. On the ISDR discussion board you can get additional information about the project or discuss about Polish railway traffic and signalling.

In addition, a photo gallery of railway lines, mainly from Bielsko-Biała region (south Poland), and historical overview of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska Lanckorona - Bielsko-Biała line is presented, as well as brief description of different goods wagons used in Poland.

Unfortunately, currently I'm not able to provide English version of particular pages. To simplify exploring the site, a sitemap translated into English is available. You can use on-line translators such as Google to read general informations, though it doesn't work well with technical terminology. If you have questions, feel free to use our discussion board, English is acceptable.
